Federal Government Contracting Mechanisms

To meet our federal government customers’ needs quickly and efficiently, COMSAT offers multiple contract awards to provide U.S. government and military customers with access to our entire portfolio of transponded capacity and fixed and mobile subscription services. Solutions eligible for procurement under the FCSA program also include service-enabling components such as user terminals, teleports, terrestrial connectivity and value-added services for warfighter capabilities, and the provision of military X-band and UHF services as well as commercial C, Ku , Ka and L-band satellite communication services.

 

FCSA CS3

COMSAT was named an awardee under the Complex Commercial SATCOM Solutions (CS3) contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). This ten-year, multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a maximum value of $2.5 billion. Under the program, COMSAT will provide advanced commercial SATCOM solutions to government users worldwide in support of multiple types of requirements, such as Interactive Services; Continuity of Operations (COOP); Broadcast Satellite Services; Direct Customer, Steady State, and Emergency Responder Operations; and Fleet & Asset Tracking and Reporting Services.

 

FSCA IT-70 Program

The Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition (FCSA) represents a joint initiative by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), for the government procurement of satellite communications capability from an approved list of vendors.

Federal, state, and local governments rely on commercial satellite communications to maintain essential and secure communications where no wire line or wireless infrastructure exists. COMSAT offers the full portfolio of Inmarsat, Iridium and Thuraya products and services through its FCSA contract.

COMSAT, Inc. main focus is on the following Schedule Item Numbers (SINs) under the GSA IT Schedule 70 Multiple Awards Schedule under contract number GS-35F-0122X and CS3 under contract number GS00Q17NRD4004. Contract Vehicles

We have a comprehensive portfolio of both fixed and mobile connectivity services, applications and solutions to meet the evolving COMSATCOM and market demands. COMSAT’s multiple contract awards allow us to provide U.S. government and military customers with access to our entire portfolio of transponded capacity and fixed and mobile subscription services. Solutions eligible for procurement under the FCSA program include integrated elements of fixed satellite services and mobile satellite services with service-enabling components such as user terminals, teleports, terrestrial connectivity and value-added services for warfighter capabilities. The eligible portfolio also includes the provision of military X-band and UHF services via the Skynet satellite system, as well as commercial C-, Ku- and L-band services through Eutelsat, Inmarsat, Intelsat, Iridium, Loral, SES and Thuraya.
